Entrepreneur Visa

No statutory investment minimum — approval hinges on ENISA's assessment of "special economic interest." Spain's real-estate Golden Visa is gone; this is not its replacement.

Spain's Golden Visa (the real-estate investment route) was abolished on 3 April 2025 by Organic Law 1/2025. The Entrepreneur Visa is not a substitute for it: it requires a genuinely innovative project, not just capital.

Best suited for
Non-EU founders of an innovative business assessed as being of "special economic interest" to Spain
Overview
Spain's Entrepreneur Visa has no statutory minimum investment — the qualifying factor is an innovative business plan assessed by ENISA (Spain's national innovation financing agency). Under a 2024 reform (RD 1155/2024), the permit structure was simplified to an initial period followed by a 4-year renewal. This is a fundamentally different program from Spain's former real-estate/investment Golden Visa (Arts. 63–67), which was abolished entirely on April 3, 2025 — the Entrepreneur Visa is not a replacement for it and has always had an innovation requirement rather than a capital-purchase requirement.
